This represents breaking free, busting loose, breaking the chains of something you felt tied to or constricted by or controlled by.

Break Free! Shed your chains and get out of a difficult situation or something you feel you’ve been obsessing about; break that cycle, choose not to give in to desires are unhealthy desires look at them for what they are.

 

A final point to think about with this card, if you look at the lovers and the devil side by side, they are actually very similar and both sides can be part of a relationship and these are the only cards that have sexual genitalia on them so they represent different aspects of sexuality and union and this can just represent in a sense of the dark side of healthy love or on the more carnal aspects of a relationship.
